showbiz edition

i hate Jennifer Aniston.  i know that's not really breaking news and i don't even have a reason why, but oh my gawd how i hate that woman with her boring never-changing-for-decades-and-decades curtains of hair.  she's soooo boring... she's the poster child for everything that's awful and nauseating about California

in other hateful news, i didn't really need any more reasons to hate Kate Gosselin but now it appears she hates pitbulls.  so i am forced to reiterate my loathing for her.  i admit, when she does an interview about being lonely and unlovable and cries her eyes out to an unsympathetic Dr Drew, it gives me a sense of enormous wellbeing :)

in sad news, Larry Hagman is dead.  i know, i used to despise that man in Dallas too, until i realized he was just a really reaaaally good actor ;)  and did i ever mention he was vegetarian...?  AND from Texas?  (not a vegetarian friendly place, let me tell you ;)  as if i needed a reason to award him more points.  RIP JR Ewing :(

i refused to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (and not just because i was consumed with jealousy that i wasn't there in person) because they still have that rusted Brillo pad of a man on their commercials.  i won't ever shop at Macy's till they fire him.  OK not that i ever shopped there in the first place...

one thing i wonder whenever i see that unimpressed-with-life Beckham baby/Birkin bag fashion accessory - doesn't she ever poop and it just drips everywhere and all over her Mother's stick insect arm?  or just plain STINK and everyone around is staring and checking the bottom of their shoes for doggy doo doo?  i don't get it - how come she never vomits or poops?  i know they had her made to order but really, you can have babies custom made to not be sick or leak????  that's cool!

i am mildly (ok maybe madly) obsessed with David Bowie's son and his new wife's twitter accounts.  they live in So Cal and seem soooo ridiculously cool and lovely.  and i just know they would be MUCH happier living somewhere nicer like here.  he's sooo funny and soooooo very British and still uses s's instead of z's in his spelling (adorable!) and she's a photographer who loves to cook vegetarian food and is too frugal to spend $7 on a big bag of chips.  honestly, they belong here with us, in Heavenly, MA :)  i'd sooooo invite myself to their house for Christmas dinner and sit beside David Bowie at the piano having a good old singsong about all going down the Strand (and having a banana - why, i have always wondered....)

back later xoxoxo

our house

going for walkies

home again - now quit bugging me :)

from the front door

Christmas Tree Shops bargain ;)

living room - i made the pillows ;)

you gotta have faith ( and if you don't have it, you can buy it at Joann's...)

well traveled little monkeys

Megan has it in for Patrick the starfish....

oh yes, we did just clean (hence the pictures!!!)

Sam aged 3, times 4 equals his present age of 12 :)

Sam's room (he cleaned too:)

Danny's room - so did he :)

this big pumpkin muffin with cream cheese frosting of a cat did NOTHING all day ;)

John Mayer, Shabby Chic and starvation

listening to
my latest guilty teenage pleasure: Taylor Swift ;)  i absolutely hate John Mayer even though i have no clue who he is :|  but i can tell he's a total douchebag bonesmoker, undeserving of someone as sweet as her :) (i always take the girl's side - always!!)

not eating
today.  yesterday was a bad day in my dieting world :(  i wrote it all down on 'lose it' so it will NEVER EVER happen again :|

wanting to
walk to the beach... and hopefully lose 10 pounds in the process:)

hating
those dumb Shabby Chic sheets - they should be called Shabby Cheap.  i think my skin is just too sensitive for horribly low thread count, itchy, scratchy sheets :(  but they're very pretty... sigh

needing to
make the dumb stupid Christmas card.  blah blah blah blah blah

craving
a toasted burnt raisin portugese english muffin with copiously sprayed on butter (please don't tell me spray on butter causes cancer because i don't care....)  they are 130 calories - maybe if i cut it into eighths i can fool myself into thinking it's an entire day's worth of food...?

off to make coffee and tell myself it's filling and nutritious - if i could figure out the DVD player i'd do pilates... but thankfully i can't work it ;) xoxox

love

our house is one of those.......

meanwhile back in the Christmas Tree Shops....

ewwww, not sure i want to go to Martha's Vineyard
if this is the shenanigans that go on over there.....

a far more tasteful (but admittedly shockingly awful portrait) postcard :)

giving thanks for the little things and the really big things

thankful that i no longer cry like a total sap when i cross this bridge
(because it's not goodbye anymore :)

thankful for warm cuddly dogs

and velvety rich starry skies

and fish eye lenses and hubbies who insist i really DO need it
when i bite my cheek and insist that i really don't....

and hubbies who understand man-type things like exposure and spend hours on the deck capturing the stars when i'm too cold and impatient to keep trying everytime a dog walks in front of the tripod ;)

thankful for this perfectly white house (please pardon the HIDEOUS drop cloths on the furniture -
my pets being in someone else's pretty house is stressing me out ;)

thankful for Christmas Tree trimming (well, watching people trim the tree... it exhausts me :)

thankful flashback to 2008... our first trip to Cape Cod (i am pretty sure this is the
Christmas Tree Shops...)  i am so thankful for Melissa taking me under her wing and saving me
(she knows why xoxo)
also: OMG our foreheads???  we have NO WRINKLES!!!!  Cape Cod is magic!
oh yessss... it was the Christmas Tree Shops ;)
we went to Gordon Ramsay's place and i asked for ketchup on my burger so
he would hopefully come out and stand two inches from me and yell in my face for being a donkey
and i would get to lean in and sniff him - but it didn't happen :(

holy shit.  i live here now :|  thankful times a million for that xoxoxo

head over heels

this realtor lady is the sweetest... she reminds me sooo much of my Auntie Pat
(who loved Mika almost more than me;) and i kinda want to look at 6,000,000 houses
just so i can hang out with Auntie Pat again :) i wonder if she loves Mika.......

i h-a-t-e old kitchen cabinets.
but these, i want to polish and love and never ever take a sledgehammer to...

he was out there forever... i love that he loves it too here
i stop here everytime i go to town :)

Christmas Tree Shops random crap - i needed that Elvis,
it being the year i finally went to Graceland;)

i didn't buy one because ladies don't drink from mugs :)

oh the irony... i can't find red socks red sox ornaments - only dumb boring stockings :|
red socks are adorable...

i eat these for every single meal (and i'm not kidding) who knew the Portugese could bake so well...?

ahem, the dock again on the drive home ;)

 my adorables, one and three

Mr UPS brought my red striped lens and everything turned to technicolor like in the Wizard of Oz

 i love this beach
