if not, why not?? i get so hopelessly lost during weeks that don't start with a monday, such as this one that started with a tuesday. so today should feel like a tuesday but instead feels like thursday and should be over already.
this morning we made a quick stop at laguna beach - how i loooove stopping at the beach on a perfectly sunny, quiet morning when we are the only people there. well, apart from a nice lady with a friendly corgi who talked at length about how hamsters make unfit mothers who eat their young as soon as look at them, but apparently find the feet too tough to finish. a truly lovely morning!
then we went to the nice Costco, they call it the flagship store of orange county ;) it is very nice i must admit, with many more sunglass choices than normal, and a cashier for every customer in the store. all was going well until Danny spotted Pinocchio on DVD. Danny could care less about cartoons, he doesn't even know or give a damn about any of the characters at Disneyland and has never shown any interest whatsoever in Pinocchio.
but he would not put it down. i knew we would get home and the second it was unwrapped and unreturnable he would declare "I don't like it" - he is Andy Pipkin in miniature form after all. do you know what he called me... a conehead! where does he pick up such adorable little cursewords?! i tried to fake shock and horror at his appalling language but it was no good, i had to give in to the little impish pout... however we settled on a returnable superfun little camera instead of Pinnochio. Supernanny would make mincemeat out of me :|
