i made boston cream pie cupcakes today. mmm-mmm. i had to quickly freeze 12 so i didn't send myself into a diabetic coma. i have the hardest time keeping to a recipe - recipes just seem so housewifely and strict that i have to do my own thing and substitute basically everything (the pastry cream... the ganache... the 10 inch pan) and i NEVER wear an apron. nosireebob!
i am boycotting everything owls. it's not going to be that hard, but i did see a cute teeshirt at Target that i had to refuse to buy. i hate... not just hate... i ABHOR... the new housewife of NYC. and she likes owls. so i do NOT anymore.
last night we had indian food and i wondered - since everyone i know in the entire world orders chicken tikka masala (and everyone in the restaurant did too), does anyone ever get anything but chicken tikka masala? in Washington DC we went to Bill Clinton's favorite indian restaurant... they didn't have tikka masala but the little man swore up and down makhanawaniwali tastes just like it - but it doesn't :| this also made me think long and hard about Bill Clinton and my infatuation for him. i mean, if he prefers makhanawaniwali to tikka, i wonder what else we wouldn't agree on :|
