today it's my first independence day as a true blue american citizen from my other country! so what am i doing to celebrate? getting a fancy tattoo of an american pitbull terrier peeing on an english bulldog? nope! i'm going shopping at superwalmart for english delicacies like malt vinegar and baked beans, cos while i'm utterly proud to be an american (and so glad i don't need to take the new citizenship test), i still embrace my delicate english roseness!
i have... whispers... P....M....S. i know this not because i keep an eye on my cycle, for i do not. i always have to guess at the doctor's office when they ask when your last menstrual period is and have to think of a date (first thing i want to blurt out is 1 january 2000 then i just fudge it so it doesnt sound too obviously made up....) this would explain why both my children's due dates were wildly inaccurate at first calculation. anyway i know the black shadow of "the curse" is about to overshadow us when i start to invent things like a maniac. this week i have had to carry a notebook for all my big ideas!! but the awful thing about this month's 'curse' is that i have no-one to pitch my ideas to someday.... because Billy Mays is gone (bursts into tears - AGAIN). and that is making this month's curse sooooo much harder to deal with :( and for that i apologize to the young men who are forced to live with me... normal programming will resume shortly :|
