building the perfect beast

or at least working on version 4.0 of my chocolate peanut butter bars... i won't say what i do with all the almost-but-not-quite rejects but i am determined to conquer my latest culinary namesis no matter how many batches i am forced to dispose of :)

today the absolute worst thing ever happened... i *accidentally* made an illegal left turn, while talking on my phone, right in front of a policeman lying in wait for innocent victims.... in my defense both the left turn and phone call were made due to dire emergencies (see below) and i was so stealth and snakelike, the policeman didn't even notice my double felony :)

• emergency one: i needed ginger cat cookies and it's so much faster to do the illegal turn by the little gym than wait and do a u-turn at the light to get to trader joe's ;)
• emergency two: Danny wanted a little super mario mushroom thing from a store his friend swore was called "the piggie store by Grandma's house" and so i had to use the dreaded dastardly phone to solve the puzzle (the piggie store turned out to be blockbuster.....???????!)

i had no clue smashburger was in California now :| i must go to La Jolla TOMORROW to try it... and inevitably not really like it... and wish i'd just got a big mac instead :)

off to bed to watch more Tara (ok to watch Aidan really :) xoxo
