i.want.to.go.to.there!!!!!

bi-rite!! right now!! as in for breakfast! i could be there by 2pm if i drive like the dickens.... forget boy scout camp today kids, we are going to San Francisco!!

i have been lost in wonderland since reading these words that will not stop replaying in my head:
  • Our Roasted Banana (icecream) is created by roasting organic bananas with brown sugar until tender and caramelized.
i have to have that icecream!!! then there's this:
l
i want salted caramel and brown sugar icecream too!!

there seems to be an endless list of purveyors of perfect icecream in San Fran (with the exception of coldstone... honestly who reviews chains, it should be illegal) which means only one thing: for Sam's birthday we neeeeeeeeed to do an icecream tour of the city, stopping to sample each and every one :) plus ici in Berkeley that i have been dreaming about visiting for at least 2 years :)

back to reality, i am sooooo hopelessly done with this week already. to say i am tired and sore is an understatement... i have to slide out of bed because my tummy and arms and legs hurt so bad from boxing... i can't get to sleep at night but napped through a large earthquake yesterday afternoon... Sam needs to leave each morning for cub scout camp starts at 7:45am and that's just too obscenely early to have made him eat a good breakfast, made a packed lunch AND put together his swim stuff (thank you hubbie for being the wind beneath my wings)...

  1. There is nothing like bi-rite. NOTHING I tell you. It will make you want to move to San Francisco so you can have easy bi-rite access. The Brown Sugar with Ginger Caramel Swirl is amazing. We recently had an ice cream trek where we visited Bi-Rite, Humphrey Slocumb and Mitchells. The collective response is. "it's good, but not bi-rite". And i've had Ici in Berkeley. Good.. But not bi-rite.

So what i'm saying is... come visit or better yet move here.
