things to do today:
  • repair sock monkey - he is missing one ear, the other one is hanging by a thread and he has lost half the stuffing from his abdomen... it's time for a makeover. this week he was launched, unwillingly, into the ceiling fan, with so much force that the entire fan fell :| yes i live in a zoo...
  • while i have out my needle and thread, i need to make my pretend baby his very own sock monkey for his first birthday next week :) because my middle name is Alice, after all :)
  • bake brownies with more butter and less water
  • return lame movie to netflix - it was one of those regrettable Adam Sandler movies with all the same people from Happy (i love this!) Gilmore and Wedding (i realllly love this!) Singer except not funny...
  • try to STAY COOL, it's going to be like 150 degrees here :| (ok 84...)
  • stalk Mr UPS who is now on his way with my fancy new "pizzelle maker" :)

new loves:

  • this app, Talking Tom Cat, which my boys love it so much they fight over the iphone (seriously that never happens, honestly :)
ps though this review is completely dumb:
hurting animals is NOT funny! (ps neither are you, party pooper:)
Why would I want my toddlers (or anyone) to have hurtful interactions with an animal. Almost everything you do to this cat is violent. Punch him in the stomach, slap in the face (until he falls over), stomp his feet, pull his tail? How is this cute? Offensive, Yes.
seriously, has this person ever seen cartoons - oh yes, they probably don't OWN a TV because it's too violent and the world is too scary and big :) stupid - and completely out of context, this reviewer says NOTHING about the fact that the cat repeats everything back in a squeaky voice - it's the funniest thing ever!!!
  • this bull terrier rescue group - the name alone makes me want to help them - 'remarka bully rehab' - genius! i love all dogs especially mutts, but i do have a soft spot for terrier and terrier mixes, they are just so good and loyal and stocky and adorable and lovely (and big heads full of brains:)
  • text messages - ok it's an old love really, but i totally forget about it and it's the easiest way to keep in contact with playdates without actually having to pick up the dreaded heartstoppingly terrifying phone :|
