wanted to make these wonderful sprinkle-some cake batter pancakes that Theresa shared, alas i didn't have the darned yellow cake mix in the pantry :( as a fellow 1/2 Brit, i am sure her kitchen is a hive of pancake-flipping activity tonight :)


tried Lipton iced tea with lemon - yuck! crystal light is so much better :) Aaron says that giving up diet coke and drinking crystal light instead is cheating :| i refuse to have my bubble of successful diet coke quitting burst so suddenly and so harshly :) it has to be better... right? it has to be, it doesn't taste as good as diet coke....

watched outrageous kid parties... to make myself feel better about being spendy and booking a vacation :)

spent an hour teaching the baby how to give kisses - he didn't figure it out yet, but he has mastered hair pulling and not letting go (how are babies SO STRONG???!)

walked 11.6 miles on a hot hot day (and drank a lot of iced tea:)

wanted to download R.E.M. 'collapse into now' but it's $19.35 on iTunes :| that's Oprah money! do people really pay $20 for an album these days? in the olden days a CD was $12.99 and not a penny more.... hmm

went to the Dollar Tree with Danny and he picked out an easter card to send to his Grandma - she loves easter cards. he had to read the inside message of each card to get one that was just right (bless:)

played badminton barefoot on the lawn

Aaron bought me a shamrock plant - it's the 4th anniversary of my Dad's death today and he always remembers...

had 3 ginger cat cookies, i really want 3 more with a milky cup of sweet tea at bedtime


my new favorite kitty at the shelter for obvious reasons :)


and this is Simba - he is a tough guy, there are notes everywhere about him beating other cats up :)
