thinking
this being on EST business is kind of frustrating if you're slightly impatient (like me) in California everything is over and done and dusted before you even get out of bed in the morning... how am i supposed to go to bed not knowing for sure that no-one is going to take my sunshine away during the night...? i'm going to need zzzzzzquil if i plan to get a wink of sleep :|
loving
that we actually went for a walk together this morning. like normal people who are not all stressed out and super busy and don't even have time to pee straight, never mind take a walk. we walked past the cranberry bogs and down the shining sea path and around the lake and through the forest and i wore my stompy leaf-crunching boots and pinched myself repeatedly to wake myself up from this dream state.... but i WAS AWAKE!!!
wearing
a pretty dress :| and shiny red shoes :| because......... we officially sold our house today!!! and that's worth wearing a dress for!
wondering
how anyone can possibly afford LL Bean clothes...? maybe their outlet is cheaper...? because sheee-it: even without a ridiculously huge mortgage and no sale tax on clothes and a few extra zeros in our bank account today, i still couldn't afford a bloody cardigan from there :( but it was pretty, oh so prettiful, with beautiful oars on the doors of the store :) they had our Old Town canoe that we had to sell to move here and i was all like: heck, i'll just buy it again and surprise Aaron :) but oh nooooo, it was like $1700 :| i think we paid $300 for it :|
hoping
the first day of school drop-off goes flawlessly and perfectly in the morn (because omg these boys are driving me absolutely batshit crazy)
obsessively painting
Nail Envy on my nails every single hour. i have all this wonderful Essie nail polish begging to be used, and these awful Courtney Love nails :(
hating
the name Woonsocket. it sounds just like wound socket to me :(
loving
that the Police here don't even so much as shake their heads at you when they catch you accidentally on your phone at the traffic lights. in CA they'd have you maced and tasered and in handcuffs awaiting a life sentence for that. here, they just nod and smile (and they all look like Kennedys - it's heaven)
we may just move our bed out onto the deck - the night sky on Cape Cod is incredible!
