oh yes even in wonderland, i can still find (a handful of) things to complain about :)
1) boots. they are either too warm or too cold or too flat or too tall or too trashy or too grandma-ly or too expensive or too cheap or too stiff or too soft... i am the Goldilocks of boots :( i saw a woman today at school with the most perfect boots ever (i'm not obsessed or nothing, but i tend to make boot contact instead of eye contact these days...) but i was too shy to ask where they were from (even though she was holding the door for me and had a smiley kind face, and looked like a distant relative from Ireland... still too shy.... maybe she'll be wearing them tomorrow and i'll pluck up the courage to ask... and she will give me a million great suggestions where to find boots...and she'll end up being from the same town as my Dad... and she'll love photography too... and Danny and her kid will be in the same class... and they'll already be best friends :)
2) you know that house we looked at yesterday...? the one that i wanted to paint the shutters black on, that had been for sale for like 3256 days with no offers whatsoever....? the one that i dress with my eyes every time i pass because i freaking LOVE it to pieces and it looks just like Serial Mom's house...? well some bonesmoker bought it today. and that house was supposed to be MINE!!!!
3) my stupid dumbass new phone. i hate it. it has a plug that none of my chargers work with so i have to carry the cable around instead of just having millions of them around the house/car. and the back isn't even perfectly shiny and reflective. Aaron says i will get used to it but i am not so sure. but it HAS to be better than the old one with superglue and acetone all over it.... if the camera doesn't knock my socks off, it's going back, no questions axed. that's the beauty of Walmart - everything can go back, even iPhones :) so be nice, phone!!!!!!!!
4) it's less than six months till Spring Break. so we can't book our White House Oval Office tour because it must be booked at least six months in advance - i want to hack the mean horrible calendar to pieces (not sure what good it would do...) i had to wait to make sure Schmitt didn't win the election because who wants to visit him at work? ewww. but there is some good news: Scott Brown will be gone by then because breakfast with him would NOT be pleasant (double ewwwwwww)
5) today i went to Plymouth (which is like my favorite place E-V-E-R - i go pretty much every single day!) and when i got out of the store it was frrrreeeeezing (it's always colder off the Cape, i no clue why... people say it is something to do with saltwater but i think it's just because it's paradise here ;) anyway there were a couple of sad limping seagulls by my car so i got out a handful of goldfish (crackers) to feed them. oh my gawd - suddenly there were hundreds of them all flapping around me... i threw more and more handfuls at them as i tried to get into the car but they were beating at the windows trying to get into the car too!!! it was awful!! and: of course even though i waited till no-one was around to feed the birds, suddenly there were a million people all staring at me like i'm a total fool with my dead giveaway California license plate - YES I KNOW seagulls are hungry and obnoxious, but i was just trying to do them a favor.... why can't they just be gracious and nice like ducks????
anyway i am going to go and make some decaf and paint my nails and watch some Dr Drew and see if i can't turn this frown upside-down :( whatever, today, WHATEVER
