wearing
wild fig and cassis cologne by Jo Malone (.... it smells exactly like the South of France)
going
to NYC for my birthday - even if it snows (ehh, if it snows, it might suck...) i have always wanted to stay at the New York Hilton (where Elvis lived!!) and take wintery pictures in the park and go to Saks for that thing i reaaaally need and Alex and Ani too for two new bracelets and get big floppy slices of greasy pizza and take Carnegie Deli cheesecake back to the hotel and sleep with the windows open so we can hear the sirens all night :) and stop at Paul Newman's favorite donut shop on the way home - it's going to be AWESOME!!
drinking
more and more and more cups of coffee than ever before. it 'feels like 9' here - gulp. shit just got really really real :| i hope it's not 9 in New York. all those bodies in one tiny place will surely make it feel more like 39...?
looooooving
that Danny is allowed to take his snow clothes and sled to school today - for supervised sledding at lunchtime :| in stark contrast to California, where the kids weren't even allowed to play on the playground or run or play with balls or just be children... i freaking LOVE it here (and please Massachusetts, don't ever ever change....)
wanting
to go to the Museum of Fine Arts sans kids tomorrow.... the Mario Testino thing is all i can think about :|
buying
winter wear online (and not walking the dogs till it arrives - sorry dogs :)
wishing
i
could find the perfect vacuum cleaner. that dumb Dyson was as
disappointing and heavy and cumbersome as ever (i don't know why i even
thought it might have improved) i want one that's cranny sucker thing isn't the
handle too. is that too much to ask????? apparently so :|
recovering
from the house filling with gas overnight due to
the stupid dumb cooker (someone must have accidentally left it on -
stupid dumb cooker) it stinks in here and yes we have the windows open -
oh fresh frigid 9 degree air, please make the room stop spinning...
needing
to buy cat food and hot fudge today (doesn't that sound delicious together?)
neeeeeding
to make my 2012 yearbook. blah. i haven't even made the boys' birthday books either.
wondering
if i should become a nurse. Aaron says my severe aversion to the smell of poop and gut-wrenching empathy would be a problem. and i hate blood. but it can't all be soiled clothing and terminal illness and blood, can it??!! surely there are days you just spend all day in the lounge drinking coffee....? with donuts and handsome doctors......?
