thursday: indigestion and flat hair

i want to go home.  even if it's just close to home.  i saw super duper cheap flights to Dublin yesterday:  like $500 :|  if they have a pizza express and a primark there, i'm so going.  (pizza and primark are that good!)  did i ever mention that i entered the United Kingdom without showing my passport (and i don't have a UK one so that makes it even more curious....)

i am giving up pumpkin bread with cream cheese frosting.  i HAVE to do it (she says as Morrissey sings "you're the one for me, Fatty":)  but then again, in "when last i spoke to Carol" he clearly states he can't pretend he feels love for me :(  either way: the pumpkin bread is in the trash and i'm NOT pulling it back out (even though it's still inside a ziploc bag and i could totally wipe that cat food off it....)  

i bought gifts online yesterday.  and not all for me.  OK one was... did you know you can buy lace-trimmed crocheted boot socks on ebay for $5 shipped from China.... and i needed those, $36 for socks is just crazy.  what if you lost one?  it would be like THE END OF THE WORLD!

i'm getting my hair cut one millimetre today (hence all the excessive number of hair pics on pinterest :)

the orchid that was formerly dead has BUDS on it - like 5 of them!  who knew things come back to life if you don't give up on them the instant they aren't perfect anymore?

i shouldn't love the snow as much as i do (but i do!!! :)

 a year ago we lived in a big white lake house on Cape Cod

(but we didn't have a garage or a Target...)

 and this was our local Friendly's (sticky and full of old very loud talking grumps)

 but we did live by this absolutely gorgeous old silver beach that 

we frequently  drive an hour to pretend is ours again.....  hmmm.

we almost bought this house on Cape Cod - it was really really pretty. 

(but i hated the way the grove of trees was divided unevenly in the backyard)

(but i did like the bathroom mirrors :)  

(but i bet i could find it in Lowes...)

(and again: there was no Target on Cape Cod ;)

(and slim pickins when it came to pizza....)
