manifesto for a happy life

i believe in always flying nonstop and never sitting on the right of the plane

i believe that the perfect spouse should love the exact same pizza as you, with no 1/2 meat 1/2 veggie confusion

i believe you should never leave home without your SLR and 50mm lens

i believe in only staying in hotels that offer free wifi and have coffee makers

i believe that shampoo should never smell like food

i believe that laundry detergent should always smell like lavender (and never ever like food)

i believe that it is OK to use hand soap on your face (but i can't type it with conviction yet)

i believe in letting the phone ring until it goes to voicemail

i believe white is the only color bedding should come in

i believe in never leaving a lonely can on the grocery store shelf, even if you don't need it

i believe in always picking up lost, sad paperclips and making them feel useful again

i believe that nothing bad can ever come from shopping at walmart

i believe that getting a good night's sleep and drinking plenty water is the key to good health and a sound mind

i believe in good spelling, always

i believe in letting things go and shaking things out and dusting things off

i believe that kissing my boys on the head and whispering "i love you" dozens of times per day will make them better husbands and fathers

i believe in shiny floors, an empty sink and an uncluttered mind
