weekend things

in 3 weeks we will be in Cape Cod and my boys will be modeling as John-John (at age 4) and John-John (at age 8) on the sandswept boardwalk of perfect Nauset Heights. must set up a 'blank stare' pre-trip workshop and reward system :)

we have a new baby at chez Rice... the iPhone!! (excited clapping!!) we thought for so long about adding a new family member and changed our minds a hundred times in walmart (yes walmart) but the little thing is working out OK so far. we bought it at walmart because you can return it if you hate it :) and there is a 72% chance we will hate it (but that number is going down a percent every hour or so)

also at walmart i bought the very cheapest gnarliest looking brownie mix and decided to stop the insanity of browning unsalted butter for 25 minutes and adding confectioners sugar and unsweetened $5 bars of chocolate to my brownies and just make trailer park brownies. and they were sooo much better than the dentist office brownies. tragically, sooooooo much better - like you could see your teeth imprints in the fudginess and everything.

everytime i hear the names Shoka and Nala i feel really sorry for the poor Gosselin dogs. not to mention the kids who were not allowed to have any say in naming their pets. jon&kate is so mean! i know that is old news but who doesn't let their kids name their childhood pet? it writes on their emotional slate, jon&kate!

speaking of pets, last night i dreamt my cat learned to talk. but all she would say is really (and i mean REALLY) rude things and so we could not go on chat shows with our talking cat and it got to the point where people could not even come into the house without her screeching obscenities at them.
