with Sam at Maggiano's. at the next table was an absolutely fascinating man turned woman who told everyone in a very deep voice that she was celebrating her birthday and wished to be seated under the prettiest chandelier in the restaurant :) i so wish i had a cross dressing friend. or a gay friend. gosh even a lesbian friend would suffice!

south coast plaza endlessly for monchichi
last time i saw her (must be a HER with a little pigtail) at puzzle zoo, but i was with my family and i felt lame for buying a stuffed monkey so i plotted to return at a later date... today i snuck back to secretly buy her and she was GONE - all sold out :(
bought
sea salt chocolate at cost plus... so so so so good! and the kids hate it so that makes it even sweeter :)
picked up
my third new bike, ahem. rode it around the neighborhood and decided i think i like the second one better after all. i sure hope it gets easier to ride a bike soon.... they say you never forget but i lose control of the steering and almost hit my neighbor's brand new lexus every single time i pass it...
who is this boy and is he really related to me?? (the boy not the rat... but gosh the rat is cute too :)
he can even ride his (new) bike without wobbling into parked cars :)
That last photo with the rats HAS to be a Hallmark greeting card. I'd buy a dozen.
ReplyDeletequestion. about the rats. i want some soooo bad but i'm worried about my stupid bloodthirsty cats (who will drag is enormous rabbits from the field across the road and devour them)
ReplyDeletedo you keep your rats in a separate room or is your cat locked in a closet cos it kinda looks like you hang out in the whole of your house with rats hanging off you. How doe sit work???

ReplyDeleteyes they live in Sam's room but we do bring them out to play and then we lock up the cats but of course they are curious about them. it's tricky and we are looking for a better solution. i read that cats/rats can be trained to get along so if my cats do get near their cage i tell them no!no!no! and hiss at them (speaking their language you see, in my book :) and they just watch like they understand that the rats are siblings. in my ideal world, my rats and cats and dogs will all snuggle together watching funniest animal home movies and eating popcorn. it could happen!
I agree with Tarnya, the last picture of the rats is so perfect! Glad you got a new friend. They are so adorable.

ReplyDeleteomgoodness! i actually own that monchichi doll...i do believe that watching the monchichi cartoon is one of my earliest childhood memories. i had the doll when i was a little girl, but she got lost during one of our many moves growing up. i bought another one a couple of years ago when i spotted it at a store. i was so excited! hope you get yours =D
