2! 4!! 6!!! 8!!!! what do i appreciate?!

(i am sure if you asked Danny the answer would be 'noffink!' but here is my list of lovely things to balance the negativity of the morning...

• hebrew national fat free hot dogs for dinner with two scoops of veggie chili, a liberal sprinkling of cheese and a big ketchup squiggle

• babies who fall fast asleep (in good light) with no persuasion or rocking or begging whatsoever

• doggie cookie cutters that make perfectly delicious chocolate labrador brownies (though i am not entirely sure i can eat them....)

• simon from american idol quitting... maybe now it will get canceled?! ps ryan seacrest is only 3 inches taller than me and i have clothes from the childrens' dept :|

• space oddity by David Bowie for obvious reasons

• youtube for perfectly sublime glimpses at David Bowie looking and singing better than ever despite just turning 63 :)
  

• and another hour spent watching every other David Bowie video ever made :)
  

• the gas bill being $100 in credit despite the cold snap
  

• watching sleepless in seattle and remembering (and loving) that new york
