i love animals - all animals without exception
i can't kill a spider, i have to rescue worms and snails from sidewalks and i can't walk past a lobster tank in a restaurant without being wracked with guilt for not buying them all and carrying them down to the ocean in buckets
so seeing the way my boys love animals too, gives me so much pride and inner peace.... because i know we are doing something very right, raising gentle, kind little boys who are utterly respectful of their pets... and in moments like these, i get a glimpse of the kind of husbands and fathers they will be someday
this is Jerry, who was rescued from being snake food. he is almost 2 years old now (in human years he's approaching 60:) he is quite possibly the sweetest, gentlest, most perfect pocket pet ever and he has taught my kids so much about compassion and love :)

ReplyDeletecouldn't agree more with you, animals are best, and animals with children are extra the best!
Tarnya he lost it at 2 years old - he chipped it so close to the root the dentist removed it.
ReplyDeleteChristine, I miss you soooo much :( I wish you were back on facebook, however lame it is, people like you make it 'acebook' in my eyes xoxox
