why today is going to be an awesome day:

  • it's Wednesday already. and the week has only just begun!
  • my pretend baby is eating waffles - and loooving them! and they're just eggo... but ohhhh he loves them and is studying and turning each piece of waffle in his hand, then looking back at me and making his wrinkled eyes/nose/four teeth smile, like i am a total culinary genius (which i am of course - when it comes to baby food:)
  • i have three entire weeks off work in April!! while i looove the pretend baby to pieces (see above), and the fact that when he's around i actually do my walk because he likes it so much, i am SO EXCITED to be freeeee for weeks on end!!! the best thing about working (besides money:) is the time when you don't work, because then you seize the day with both hands and run at full speed with it, hugging and kissing it because it is so darned precious!!!
  • i still didn't watch Desperate Housewives yet... and i love to watch Desperate Housewives :) i kind of know what will happen... Lynette will be arrested for insurance fraud for hiding her horrible father-in-law's body (JR Ewing is the best mean old man ever! and he's vegetarian too!) till the insurance kicked in... is it SO WRONG??! i just want her to have a nice new car and be less exhausted :(
  • i have an insatiable desire to empty out, sort through, donate all the stuff that doesn't get played with and repaint the toy baskets matte white. and we have many many many toy baskets.... how often does an insatiable desire like that come along??!
  • i am going to start step one in operation: lamington. according to Tarnya it is a two day process and she's the authority on anything from 'down under' :) i don't know if i can possibly wait two days to eat cake... but here goes nothing. Mrs Mangal would be proud of me :)
* this clip has nothing to do with lamingtons, but i cannot believe the acting is sooo terrible!! i LOVED Neighbours, i would bolt through my homework in seconds flat so i wouldn't miss a second of it :) 'fun' fact: Mrs Mangal was born in England and retired there :)

    Pssst....
If you don't want to wait you can wing it with fresh cake OR do what I do - go to the bakery and ask for a slab of day-old sponge cake. It's not cheating, honest.
