thunderstorms.... the kind that light the whole house up in the dark and make the foundation shake a little :)
the darkest blue velvety midnight skies filled with the brightest, whitest stars - sooooooo many stars :)
the puffiest, prettiest, cloudiest softbox skies everyday
seasons - constant sunshine every single day for years and years and years (and years and years and years) is very very very very very very very very overrated. i mean VERY :|
being able to wear clothes again. i have 23 cardigans now and that fact alone makes my heart so very skippy and joyful :)
fireflies: I sometimes... ok... all the time get up in the middle of the night, just to look out the window at the sweet little flashes of light buzzing around - it's the coolest thing ever! actually the coolest thing everrrrrr was the night one flew in our bedroom :)
icy cold water from the tap
all the adorable ice cream parlors and dairy farms - they take dessert very seriously around here :)
fresh cool air when you open the window and a breeeeeeeze
leaving the windows open without the entire house ending up covered in a layer of dirt
kids who are friendly and say hi and hold the door open for grown-ups (this is one of the most wonderful things about here... the kids are nice)
never being more than a mile from a Dunkin Donuts
Ocean State Job Lots (i LOVE that store!!!)
Portuguese English muffins with raisins (toasted till black and smothered with waaaay too much butter)
Cape Cod (yes, really. it's true :)
the insanely vast number of Obama bumper stickers :)
the wonderful absence of religious bumper stickers :)
Rhode Island being right around the corner - i kinda sorta looooove Rhode Island
the 95 - soooo much cooler than the 5... it has McDonalds right at the side of it which makes road trips soooo much more delicious :)
also: that the people at fast food places here actually speak English
everything is closer on the East Coast - or maybe just there's more interesting places to go nearer...? hmmmmmm
pizza - it's just soooooo much better here. especially at Bertucci's :)
pristine, white sandy waveless beaches with erosion fences, sand dunes and boardwalks
basements: most awesome and huuuuuuge dumping ground for random crap ever!
OK. i love everything else too.... the list is just endless :) back with pics and tales of the unexpected....
