feeling homesick and stabby

listening to
'mother of pearl' by Bryan Ferry, which makes me feel sooooo hopelessly homesick for England in the summertime. it's been 3 years since i smelled Boots the Chemist, really heady diesel fumes and fresh bread baking in Asda :[

eating
a peanut butter skinny cow... hmm, i think it's safe to say anything with skinny in the name is just not so great tasting... it needs fudge. and brownies. and to be hot or something...

wondering
why Oprah didn't just come out and suggest to Naomi Campbell that the reason she acts like such a major bitch to everyone is because she IS a major bitch... seriously, abandonment issues are the reason she hits, throws things and spits at people???! whhhhatever :|

waiting
for the boys to go to bed so we can play the newly unlocked Beastie Boys song :)

hating
the new microphone. it says i sing 'weakly'.... the other microphone is much nicer about my singing :[

wondering
if fettuccine that is supposed to serve 6 could possibly feed 4 if i supplement it with pizza..... seriously who decides on the portion sizes???

feeling some empathy
for the woman who lost her marbles and went on a stabbing spree in Target. this is why i don't carry butcher knives in my bag (that, and they could scratch my phone up). upon hearing the news, i was more curious if she took her own knives or just grabbed a couple off the shelf ;) while i don't spit and throw things at people, i do get the occasional urge to gut fellow customers who dare step in my path when i am on a mission :) and men - who should generally not be allowed in any stores ever but NEVER in the feminine protection aisle :| that's grounds for murder right there...

i don't like
the pasty flock of seagulls guy at my Michaels - he could learn a few things about customer service from Pedro Hernandez across the street ;)

going to
take pictures of preschoolers today - how hard can it be, right?? they are human, i am human.... right...?

  1. Are you sure we aren't related?

I am homesick for Englad. It has been 7 years since I have smelled Boots the Chemist, window shopped at Marks & Spencers, looked around Top Shop & French Connection wishing that I was two sizes smaller and 10 years younger. Bryan Ferry is amazing and my Dad and I saw him at Birmingham NEC.

Oh, and whenever my american husband lands at Heathrow now, he breathes in deeply and says ahhhh diesel, we have landed in England!
