oh gawd the clocks - why???! why do they have to change? all yesterday it was way later than it should be... this morning it's way way way too early to be so late :[ wahhhhhh!!!

we painted our bedroom yesterday and i LOVE it - the color is called cozy cottage, which incidentally is the color of our entire house (except kid rooms) because i love it sooooo much (and because kid rooms should be primary colors with bold chalkboard walls :) it's sooooo cozy, just like the name suggests! it's golden and sunny and the room glows with warmth from all the way down the hall. and it welcoming and lovely and i love my honey for indulging me at 2pm on daylight savings sunday when everyone is feeling out of sorts and sleepy, and going to Home Depot to buy the paint (without complaint) and painting it in 2 hours flat xoxoxoxo

now i can buy daffodils and pretty quilts and knick knacks and frame hazy pictures of lavender and mimosa, and be happy :)

Sam is going on a field trip today. will this ever get easier? i see far too many jarringly awful news stories about overturned schoolbuses in ditches... argh, and it's to Oak Glen which is like the other side of the universe. he wanted me to go... i feel SO AWFUL for being too busy with work (i have three weeks off in April... why couldn't it be in April??), i could have driven him there and then snuck a quick chatty lunch with him on the drive back. i owe that sweet boy Maggianos on the last day before spring break... speaking of which, it's time for school. ALREADY. at 6:54am my time :[ grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
